What is kubernetes??

Kubernetes is an open-source container management system developed by google and made available to the public in June 2014. The goal is to make deploying and managing complex distributed systems easier for developers interested in Linux conainers. It's also called K8s because it starts with k and ends with s and in between there are 8 alphabets so the short name is k8s. It's an orchestration system for automating software deployment, scaling and management. In basic English, the meaning of the word orchestration is the way in which the piece of music is written so that an orchestra can play it have you seen the man who keeps swinging his hand in a musical show the man who handles the people who play different musical instruments like guitar, violin and all the role that that man does is the same what Kubernetes does also with that it also provides with some extra facilities.

So to tell a brief about the history it was the third cluster manager developed by Google followed by Borg and Omega which was internally used by google for a long time. And in 2015 Linux foundation and Google joined forces to form the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and Kubernetes was donated as a seed technology. And a stable release of K8s was launched in December 2018. So this was a brief about what is Kubernetes and its history.
